Our Story
Local Family Operation
29 Ranch Beef is family operated and managed. In 2009, we, Ryan & Crystal Stanford, were living in the greater DFW area. We both had full time jobs but always dreamed of living somewhere away from the every day hustle. Crystal spent her summers in the country with her grandparents and spent most of her time with her Grandaddy tending to the outdoor chores and livestock. We both attended Tarleton State University where our love for cattle began. While in college, we both worked at Dublin Livestock Auction and Ryan worked as a ranch hand for several years through college. Ryan learned everything he knows about cattle from the best there was. It was Ryan's passion to one day have his own cattle to manage.

In 2010, that dream became reality when we decided that the big city living was not for us and we packed up and moved west to family land (where Crystal spent her summers as a child) outside of Robert Lee, Texas. One of our first purchases was a couple head of cattle and the rest is history.

We spent a majority of our time, when we are not working our full time jobs, outdoors, checking our livestock and growing a family and homestead over the past 13 years. We have 2 daughters, Kamryn & Kallie, who have learned to share the love of cattle with us. The oldest, Kamryn, shows beef cattle as a member of her local FFA Chapter and Kallie is slowly a few steps behind big sister. They have learned from babies that tending to livestock is a gift and they cherish it as much as us.

Why 29?
Everyone Asks
The number "29" is special to our family for many reasons. Crystal's Birthday is April 29. Our first date was on January 29, 2000. Our wedding anniversary is January 29, 2005. Our first daughter, Kamryn, was due January 29, 2013 (however she came a week early). And lastly, the scripture verse, Jeremiah 29:11. We know nothing we have achieved in life is not by our own work alone, but rather our Lord and Savior. We have been truly blessed.

" For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
